Chili OKAZU is an umami-rich chili, miso, and sesame oil based condiment often eaten with rice in Japan, which can also be used to top chicken, burgers, fish, eggs, potatoes, and more.

Use it as a marinade or as an ingredient in your own homemade salad dressing, this condiment is versatile and we encourage you to experiment.

OKAZU gained an initial following at farmers' markets in Toronto and has been featured in New York Times, The Toronto Star, The National Post, Toronto Life, and a winner of the Gold Sofi award 2020.

How to use OKAZU

OKAZU Recipe

ABO Miso soup(Up-cycled)

Just add water and your favorite add-ons (vegetables, fish, tofu...or just eat by itself!)

Abokichi Instant miso soup is vegan, Non GMO and made with Gluten free ingredients. The only fermented drink served warm in the market.

DIRECTIONS: Single Serving: Add 2 Tbsp of Miso Soup paste to 250ml of
hot water in a thermos with lid and shake. Alternatively, mix with a spoon in
mug. Pot of Soup: In a saucepan, boil entire contents of packet with 1L of water. Add other ingredients such as vegetables, tofu and fish.
