his is the second time I have tried Chili Miso (one as a gift, one I purchased). It just has to be the perfect condiment. Chili Miso enhances just about anything you can think of. You could eat it with a spoon if you like, it is not that spicy, a little stronger than mild. Your tastebuds will not be disappointed and it has this morish aroma! I would definitely recommend Chile Miso to my friends and family.

I really enjoyed my first tasting experience with this new Sansho pepper miso oil! So distinctive is the flavor. It added a much appreciated depth of flavor to my chicken and noodle dish. The Sansho pepper has a refreshing bright characteristic. It feels glowing and warm; calming, yet stimulating. It leaves a lingering, numbing sensation, that changes to a cooling feeling in the mouth and on the lips. And of course, like the chili miso oils from the tasting set, it is so delicious! It really picked me up at the end of my workday. I hope this sauce continues to be available as a regular product offering.

What a delight to discover Okazu’s Chili Miso!

I first discovered the Okazu Chili Miso at the Mustard Seed in Hamilton, ON. We loved it so much we gifted many jars to our friends. I was thrilled to see the package of different varieties and I LOVE THEM ALL.

I had been using them for stir fry recipes, but now I add it to almost everything, including as a dipping sauce for pizza crusts. YUM.
