We’ve been playing around matcha in the kitchen a lot lately, usually making some kind of baked sweet, which are delicious, we’ve dabbled in salad dressing, but this is our very first ABO Matcha cocktail. This refreshing gin sour is perfect for summer with its sour tang and distinct matcha earthiness.
Servings: 1 cocktail
Tools required: cocktail shaker, snifter, strainer
Ingredients:
1 tsp ABO Matcha Usagi (or Tanuki)
1 egg white
1 oz simple syrup
1 oz lemon juice
1 oz lime juice
2 oz gin
1-2 dashes orange bitters (optional)
ice
Directions:
- Add all ingredients, but ice to your shaker.
- "Dry Shake" - no ice - for at least one minute in order to create foam
- Add ice to the shaker and "Wet Shake" for another 30s-1min in order to chill your beverage.
- Double strain into your cocktail glass and enjoy!
