About Hirohashi - Yoroshii Oagari
In 1986, Mikihiro Hirohashi, a miya daiku, (temple carpenter), founded Hiro Hashi in his hometown of Yoshino, Japan. His daughter, Makiko Nakaiso, inherited her father's passion for fine woodwork and she launched a new brand of chopsticks called "Yoroshii Oagari" in Yoshino.
While some of the chopsticks are made by machine, the craftsmen carefully finish them by hand to produce high-quality chopsticks. They are used in restaurants, hotels, ryokan (Japanese-style inns), and ryotei (Japanese-style restaurants) all over Japan.
